Our Terms

If you want to buy wine from us or use our web site, you can only do so on these terms and conditions, and by registering on the web site you are agreeing to be bound by them. Although they are written in small print, we hope you will agree that they aim to be fair to you and to us. We may change these from time to time by updating this posting.

Pricing

Price guarantee - We guarantee great value. That means that if you buy wine from us and then find the same wine for sale in the UK at a cheaper price within 14 days (but not on promotion, special offer or in a sale) we will refund the difference.
All prices are quoted in pounds sterling, per case, as marked. The prices include Value Added Tax, unless otherwise specified. Any delivery charges are additional.
Further special discounts are available to customers who have registered with Sharecase.com as a WineClub member. Membership costs are shown in membership details, and discounts are available on non-discounted prices or as indicated, subject to availability.

Delivery

On orders of 3 cases or more, for delivery to the UK mainland, delivery is free.
For orders of less than 3 standard cases (27 litres), delivery is £15.00.
We deliver to most of the UK mainland. We're sorry that the standard delivery charge excludes the Scottish Islands, Scottish Highlands, Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Man, but we can arrange delivery to these areas for an additional charge. Please contact customer services for details. We regret that we do not deliver to Northern Ireland, The Channel Islands or overseas.
From the time of placing your order we aim to deliver within 10 working days, although it will often arrive much more quickly. If you have a specific query on our delivery areas, please contact us using one of the above methods.
We strongly recommend that you propose an address where there will always be someone present to sign for the delivery. If no-one is home when we attempt to deliver your wine, the carrier will leave a card explaining that they have called and the wine will be taken back to the local depot. The customer may then arrange a second delivery or the wine can be collected from the depot. If no arrangement is made, the wine will be returned to Sharecase.com and the customer will then be responsible for collecting the wine at their own expense.
There is an option to give us specific instructions to leave the wine in a safe place if you know you will not be at home to receive your order. Simply fill in the box marked "Order Comments" when placing your order. Please note: If you do choose this option you do so at your own risk. Once the wine has been delivered, according to your original delivery instructions, it becomes the recipient's responsibility.

Payment

We accept payment by Maestro, Visa, MasterCard and Amex via our payment processor, PayPal.
Any discounts offered are based on previously advertised, non-discounted prices that were available for consumers to buy for at least 28 consecutive days in the previous 6 months via the webstore.

Security

If you are nervous about shopping on the web, don't be. Paypal use secure servers with state-of-the-art encryption and secure sockets layer (SSL) technology for the transfer of credit card information. Additionally, we have security measures in place to protect our customer database and access to this database is restricted internally.
It is your responsibility to protect your password from being disclosed to any third party.
To allow us to deliver your order efficiently and for your convenience in reordering we collect the following details from you when you place your order:

  • your name, address and delivery address.
  • your e-mail address (your order confirmation is sent here) and telephone number.
  • whether or not you wish to receive more information from Sharecase.com.
All personal details are kept strictly confidential and are not shared with any other party.
We may approach a credit reference agency to verify your address.

Age Restriction

We won't sell wine to anyone who isn't 18 years old or over. Sorry, but that's the law. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
If you are buying a case of wine as a gift - the recipient must also be over 18 years old.
If our couriers are in any doubt about the age of the recipient on delivery, they will request some form of ID. If the person receiving the wine is unable to produce appropriate ID, unfortunately our couriers will be unable to leave the wine.

Cancellations/Returns

For your complete peace of mind, you may cancel your order within 7 working days of receipt of goods. A refund excluding return postage & packaging will be given, provided that the goods remain in good condition and that the request to cancel is received in writing by the Customer Services Team. Any cancelled order will be refunded within 30 days.

We make every effort to ensure that the information on this website is accurate and current; however Sharecase.com provides this web site and its contents on an "as is" basis and it makes no (and expressly disclaims all) representations or warranties of any kind with respect to this website and its contents. Sharecase.com also reserves the right to change price and availability information without notice. That is, sometimes we make mistakes.
