Crop thinning, regulated deficit irrigation and intensive canopy management were all techniques employed to produce ripe Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot fruit. The fruit was sourced from several vineyards planted beside the Tutaekuri River on shingle banks and free draining silt terraces. There are hints of cassis and subtle oak on the nose while the palate shows berry fruit and spice. An approachable wine, with a soft lingering finish.
