Villa Maria Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Marlborough

Fruit from the cooler Awatere Valley produces lifted herbaceous and exotic fruit characters, while the warmer Wairau Valley adds ripe tropical and pungent gooseberry notes. This wine is intensely concentrated, rich and racy, finishing with excellent length and crispness. The 2003 vintage won the Silverado Trophy in the 2004 International Wine & Spirit Competition.
