Produced only in exceptional vintages since the first vintage in 1991, this wine is proving to be a classic. It is a single vineyard wine from the small terrace overlooking the winery at the Esk Valley Estate. The blend is carefully constructed from just the right proportions of Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The flavours are black cherries, blackberries and chocolate with well integrated oak spice. The wine is mouthfilling and generous, very drinkable as a young wine, but its ripe tannins give it great cellaring potential. A new world wine made in a traditional and time honoured fashion, with no compromise on quality.
